Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Integration Engineer to join our team in Pune and lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable integration solutions specifically for SAP ecosystems. This role is critical in enabling seamless data flow between SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA) and our platform, focusing on automated ingestion and transformation of financial data including invoices, purchase orders, vendor masters, and expense management data.

The ideal candidate will bring deep SAP technical expertise, strong ABAP programming skills, and extensive experience with SAP integration technologies. You will work closely with our global customers to deliver production-ready SAP data pipelines and drive our SAP integration strategy forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade integrations specifically for SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments

  • Build and optimize SAP-specific connectors using SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI, IDocs, BAPIs, and OData services

  • Develop custom ABAP programs and enhancements for data extraction and transformation

  • Implement real-time and batch integration scenarios using SAP ALE/EDI frameworks

  • Configure and maintain SAP RFC connections and web service integrations

  • Design and implement SAP Fiori and Gateway services for modern integration requirements

  • Create reusable SAP integration templates, function modules, and technical documentation

  • Work with SAP functional modules including FI/CO, MM, SD, and FICO for comprehensive data mapping

  • Troubleshoot complex SAP integration issues and optimize performance of data extraction jobs

  • Collaborate with customer SAP Basis and functional teams for seamless deployments

  • Ensure compliance with SAP security standards and data governance policies

  • Provide technical expertise during customer onboarding and SAP system assessments

    • Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with SAP integration and development

  • Strong ABAP programming skills with experience in reports, enhancements, and custom development

  • Extensive experience with SAP PI/PO or SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration)

  • Deep knowledge of IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and ALE distribution

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration projects and integration challenges

  • Proficiency in SAP Web Services, OData, and REST API integration

  • Understanding of SAP functional modules, especially Financial Accounting (FI) and Materials Management (MM)

  • Experience with SAP security concepts, authorizations, and role management

  • Strong knowledge of XML, XSLT, and data transformation techniques

  • Familiarity with SAP transport management and change control processes

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  • SAP Certification in Integration or Development track is highly preferred

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and cloud integration scenarios

  • Knowledge of SAP Ariba, SAP Concur, or SAP Fieldglass integrations

  • Familiarity with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG)

  • Experience with SAP Solution Manager for integration monitoring

  • Understanding of SAP HANA database and CDS views

  • Experience with integration platforms like MuleSoft, Workato, Boomi, or Jitterbit in SAP contexts

  • Knowledge of Python, Golang or Java for hybrid integration scenarios

  • Master's degree in relevant field

  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
