What We’re Looking For


Northern is seeking an experienced Salesforce Data Cloud Solutions Architect (Contractor) to lead discovery, scoping, and implementation of enterprise-level Salesforce Data Cloud projects. You'll drive technical strategy, design multi-org architectures, implement and deliver comprehensive solution plans for complex retail and enterprise clients.



You must have hands-on experience with multiple enterprise Data Cloud implementations from concept through deployment, including consent management frameworks, licensing optimization, and cross-org integration strategies.

What You’ll Be Doing



  • Lead sessions with the client team and stakeholders to gather detailed business requirements
  • Design end-to-end solution architectures including multi-org configurations, data models, and integration patterns
  • Create detailed architectural diagrams, technical documentation, and implementation roadmaps
  • Develop comprehensive project scopes, effort estimates, and licensing recommendations for enterprise deployments
  • Architect data flows between Data Cloud and CRM, mapping custom objects, fields, and business processes
  • Design consent management solutions compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations
  • Define identity resolution strategies, customer profile schemas, and segmentation frameworks across multiple Salesforce orgs
  • Navigate existing CRM customizations, flows, and object relationships to integrate Data Cloud seamlessly
  • Guide data governance policies, quality standards, and compliance requirements
  • Oversee implementation of data flows, integrations, and customer profile optimization
  • Stay current on Data Cloud platform updates and translate new features into client value


What You’ll Bring



  • 5+ years Salesforce platform experience with 3+ enterprise Data Cloud implementations delivered end-to-end
  • Strong Salesforce CRM experience including custom objects, flows, process automation, and data model design
  • Proven experience with multi-org Salesforce architectures and CRM integrations
  • Deep knowledge of Data Cloud features, updates, and roadmap (formerly Genie/CDP)
  • Expertise in consent management implementation (GDPR, CCPA, privacy frameworks)
  • Strong background in solution design, technical scoping, and effort estimation
  • Experience creating architectural diagrams and technical documentation for stakeholder audiences
  • Knowledge of Data Cloud licensing models and optimization strategies
  • Salesforce Data Cloud and/or Marketing Cloud certifications required
  • Experience with identity resolution, data modeling, and enterprise integration patterns
  • Excellent communication skills for client-facing discovery and requirements sessions
  • Experience with Pardot (Marketing Cloud Account Engagement) would be considered an asset


Compensation & Tools


We’re looking for independent contractors to join our team and contribute to exciting, high-impact projects. Compensation will be based on your proposed rate, relevant skills, experience, and market alignment. Contractors are responsible for providing their own tools and equipment needed to perform the work. Payment will be issued within 30 days of receiving a valid invoice.
