The Sales Trainer is an individual contributor role focused on strengthening the performance of AlterCall’s internal sales team. This position does not have direct reports. Instead, the role is hands-on and execution-driven, listening to live and recorded sales calls, refining scripts and messaging, and coaching sales representatives to communicate with clarity, authenticity, and impact.
This role partners closely with sales leadership but remains focused on coaching, call analysis, and skill development rather than people management.
Listen to, review, and analyze live and recorded internal sales calls
Refine, test, and optimize sales scripts, talk tracks, and objection-handling frameworks
Provide 1:1 and group coaching focused on call structure, tone, pacing, presence, and closing
Deliver clear, actionable feedback that drives measurable improvement
Identify recurring patterns and skill gaps across the sales team and address them through targeted training
Collaborate with sales leadership to align coaching efforts with revenue goals and KPIs
Support onboarding and ramp-up training for new sales hires
Leverage call insights and performance data to inform ongoing coaching strategies
Proven experience in sales training, sales coaching, or sales leadership
Background in consultative, high-ticket, or transformational sales environments and having worked in the coaching industry is a huge plus
Strong understanding of sales psychology and objection handling
Exceptional listening and communication skills
Comfortable providing direct feedback without formal authority
Experience working with call recordings, CRMs, and sales performance data

Improved call quality and close rates across the internal sales team
Sales reps demonstrating stronger presence, confidence, and emotional intelligence

Compensation:
$90K-$100K plus bonus
