Purpose of this role:
The Sales Support Intern will support end-to-end (E2E) activities related to tool inventory and scrap management from a sales perspective, ensuring accurate documentation, communication, and data quality across multiple systems and departments.
This role offers an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience within an international corporate environment and develop a deep understanding of global sales processes at KOSTAL.
The intern will closely collaborate with sales, purchasing, production, and controlling teams across Europe and worldwide, assisting in inventory reporting, customer documentation, and scrap coordination.
This is a long-term, part-time position (min. 20 hours / week), suitable for university students seeking a career path within the KOSTAL Global Business Services organization.
Main tasks and responsibilities

Support the global tool inventory process by identifying and updating tool and equipment data (database, customer portals, SAP).

Assist in tool verification and documentation, including:
- Identifying the correct equipment and customer article numbers.
- Collecting and organizing photo documentation and location data (KOSTAL sites and external suppliers).
- Preparing and updating replacement and ownership certificates for customers (e.g.: Volkswagen, Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz).

Participate in tool scrap management, supporting coordination between Sales, Purchasing, and Production.
- Maintain structured records and support master data maintenance for locations not yet registered in the database.
- Assist in reporting, data consolidation, and preparation of presentations for management and customer audits.

Support periodic tool inventory updates and ensure data consistency in customer systems.

Contribute to cross-departmental communication, aligning with key stakeholders on status, progress, and open actions.
- Support translation, documentation, and administrative tasks in both German and English.

Assist in the continuous improvement of internal processes, templates, and documentation standards.
Experiences & Requirements:
- Ongoing university studies in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
- Eligible for part-time student employment (min. 20 hours/week).
- Comfortable in MS Office suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Fluent English and German (both written and spoken) are required.
- Willingness to travel in Europe 1-2 times a year
