Overview
Wilsonart Engineered Surfaces, a leading supplier of Decorative Surfacing Materials, Cabinet Hardware and Building Supplies, is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join its team. The ideal candidate has established experience selling products to the cabinet, millwork, and building industry. The ideal candidate knows the territory.
This Sales Representative is responsible for promoting, sell and market Wilsonart and Non-Wilsonart products and programs to a variety of buying and on-buying decision-makers including customers sold by the Metro, OEM accounts, architects, designers, home-builders, kitchen dealers, millwork, and corporate specifiers. Assists Specification Representatives in securing specifications from the professional design community by developing relationships within this community. Seek potential new customers and service all buying and non-buying accounts. Performs other tasks as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Effectively manage time and resources to ensure personal and team sales targets are met.
Forecast sales and develop sales strategies and models.
Create demand with Fabricators, Cabinet, Millwork, A&D accounts, Kitchen & Bath accounts, General Contractors and Builders, both single and multi-family within a designated territory.
Identify and develop accounts (Target/New) and opportunities to generate sales growth.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with logistics and operations teams that allows for clear communications and productive engagements. Act as liaison between corporate initiatives and the field to ensure best practices.
Document activities in the CRM (Salesforce) to ensure best practices are recognized and employed regularly and to capture sales.
Maintain knowledge of complete product lines.
Keep abreast of the latest industry developments by attending sales meetings, industry events, training sessions and individual research.
Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers, some overnight travel.
Conduct calls and face to face meetings with customers daily.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Track record of over-achieving sales quotas
Experience working with a CRM and pipeline management
Familiarity with different sales techniques
Computer use proficiency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Knowledge of the decorative surfaces industry
Experience with sales and marketing principles, material handling, specification sales & channel sales
Knowledge of industry standards applicable to the product and other pertinent rules/regulations governing material standards
Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to travel
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communication, Marketing or a closely related field. Applicable experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
Experience: 3+ years of proven field sales experience. Experience selling within the design or building products industry is a plus
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Wilsonart, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000 - $100,000.
