Sales Representative - Residential & Commercial Contractor Sales

We are seeking a driven and experienced Sales Representative to generate new business and close residential and small commercial projects within a contractor services environment.

This is a true hunter role — not a lead-fed position. The ideal candidate is comfortable prospecting, running in-home and onsite consultations, and independently managing the full sales cycle from initial outreach through signed agreement.

This opportunity is built for a high-output closer who thrives in commission-driven environments, enjoys outbound activity, and takes ownership of personal production and pipeline growth.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through door knocking, referrals, networking, cold outreach, and self-driven prospecting efforts
  • Conduct in-home and onsite consultations for residential and small commercial projects
  • Build customer relationships, identify project needs, and present tailored solutions
  • Close high-ticket deals by guiding customers through proposals, financing options, and contract execution
  • Manage the full sales cycle from first contact through signed agreement and project handoff
  • Maintain a consistent personal pipeline and deal flow without reliance on inbound leads
  • Collaborate with estimating, operations, and project teams to ensure smooth project transitions
  • Track activity, sales metrics, pipeline progression, and follow-ups within CRM systems
  • Generate repeat and referral business through strong customer relationships and service

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in high-ticket sales environments such as solar, roofing, HVAC, home improvement, construction, or similar industries
  • Proven track record of independently generating pipeline and consistently closing deals
  • Experience in residential, homeowner-facing, or consultative sales environments
  • Comfortable with outbound prospecting including door-to-door and cold outreach activity
  • Ability to independently conduct in-home or onsite sales presentations
  • Direct closing experience required — support, coordination, or estimator-only backgrounds will not be considered
  • Solar sales experience preferred but not required for strong closers
  • Highly self-motivated and comfortable in a commission-driven, performance-based role
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
