Sales – Product Support Inside Quote Rep

Objective

Working directly with Caterpillar Financial, this position is responsible for inspecting, generating quotes for repairing and billing the completed repairs on Caterpillar Financial owned equipment. This includes service repair reports, customer follow-up, and tracking win/loss performance.

Responsibilities

• Works with Cat Financial and/or service department to develop the quote ensuring all costs are covered and quotes are technically accurate.
• Constructs and communicates proposals to customers that clearly specifies the scope of work to be performed with the price for the services..
• Maintains a system to provide an initial quote in a timely fashion upon receipt of an incremental opportunity and provides subsequent follow up to bring the quote to a conclusion.
• Oversee and assists with transportation of equipment, primarily related CAT Financial Equipment
• Conducts inspections of all CAT Financial equipment including taking photos of equipment and documenting any necessary repairs for equipment.
• Works with the Service Department, Sales Department, and Product Support to develop leads for incremental work.
• Works with Service Department to schedule repairs - provides details on the work and maintains contact to ensure work is performed in a timely fashion.
• Handles customer complaints, service problems, invoice problems and customer satisfaction problems as they arise.
• Acts as a consultant to the customer and recommends various repair options, and if they exist, provides value and facilitates a positive relationship with the customers
• Increases market share with customers by providing additional services and displacing other suppliers.
• Maintains and updates activities in Oak and CAT Inspect software accurately and efficiently.
• If applicable, maintains and updates activities in customer relationship management (CRM) software accurately and efficiently.
• Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business or a technical related field or equivalent years of experience
• 6 years or more of experience in sales or heavy equipment service
• Mechanical aptitude with hydro-excavating and jetting products and the ability to discuss the products and detailed applications with prospects and customers.
• Experience with Caterpillar and MacAllister Software and Operating Systems
  • Oak Adaptive Work Order System, Standard Jobs, and Invoicing
  • SIS
  • Cat Inspect
