Job Summary

The Sales Planning Manager develops and executes sales and inventory plans for KEEN online and KEEN Garages in the US market. The role acts as a trusted partner with commercial and functional teams to deliver actionable insights that guide site strategy, assortment decisions, and inventory optimization. Working independently, the role identifies risks and opportunities, supports key business decisions, and drives alignment across planning, merchandising, and sales to achieve financial and growth goals.

Essential Functions

Description

  • Partners in the Open to Buy (Sales, Inventory, ASP) process for KEEN online and KEEN Garages across the US marketplace, ensuring alignment to financial targets, growth objectives, and channel strategies.
  • Manages and evolves inventory management frameworks, including bulk inventory, refining processes, tools, and decision models in response to business performance and changing demands.
  • Analyzes and interprets sell-through trends to identify growth opportunities, translating data into actionable, business driving insights.
  • Plans and forecasts for critical DTC KPIs (traffic, conversion, UPT, ASP), exercising independent judgment in methodology selection and scenario modeling to inform leadership decision-making.
  • Leads development and delivery of enterprise-level performance insights at weekly, monthly, quarterly, and seasonal cadences across category,product, and key-item levels, clearly articulating what is driving results and future implications for the business.
  • Serves as a trusted thought partner to key stakeholders, communicating business performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and delivering clear, prioritized recommendations to optimize revenue, margin, and inventory productivity.
  • Influences and drives alignment across cross-functional leadership teams to improve focus, efficiency, and effectiveness of the DTC operating model, with particular emphasis on planning rigor and business management cadence.
  • Provides oversight of order book management, partnering with DTC Merchandising and Wholesale Sales Planning to optimize inventory deployment, balance channel needs, and maximize total enterprise value.
  • Partners with Buying and Merchandising to shape digital-first assortment strategies grounded in data, customer demand, and financial outcomes.
  • Leads assortment analysis (breadth, depth, white space identification) for KEEN Online and Garages, ensuring assortments are optimized to meet demand, support strategic initiatives, and drive category growth.
  • Support forecasting for key events (e.g., Cyber Monday, Holiday, Back to School, Father’s Day), working with DTC merchants to ensure inventory and promotional strategies align with financial targets.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with a focus in business, merchandising, economics, finance, or related field required.

Minimum of six (6) years experience in merchandise planning/buying, for wholesale or DTC. eCommerce experience within the footwear industry preferred.

Any equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis.

  • Experience navigating a highly cross-functional matrix environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills.• Ability to lead and influence people in support of overarching business and category goals.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and in front of large audiences.
  • Ability to independently utilize resources to increase knowledge.
  • Ability to deliver the art and science of merchandising (product assortment + analytics).
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with an ability to communicate at different levels of the organization.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel) and Power BI or other Business Intelligence systems, with ability to synthesize large sets of data and develop creative and innovative solutions in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and incorporating excel charts to build story-telling visuals.

Salary Range: $100,000-$114,000

This range represents the low and high ends of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and location.
