The Role Summary:
 
The Sales Operations Analyst (Salesforce) is responsible for supporting Salesforce end users, driving system adoption, ensuring strong data governance, and delivering actionable sales analytics to support informed business decisions. This role serves as a critical link between Sales, Operations, Finance and Marketing —ensuring Salesforce accurately reflects the business, enables efficient sales processes, and provides reliable insights for leadership.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of analytical thinking, functional Salesforce expertise, and hands-on problem solving, with a strong focus on territory management, account data integrity, reporting, and continuous process improvement.
 
Key Responsibilities
Salesforce Support & Enablement
  • Serve as the primary support partner for Salesforce end users, troubleshooting issues and resolving day-to-day questions.
  • Act as an advocate for Sales stakeholders, capturing feedback and translating it into system improvements.
  • Develop and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation and training materials.
  • Deliver training sessions and enablement resources to drive Salesforce adoption and confidence.
  • Support change management initiatives tied to new features, enhancements, and process updates.
Data Governance & System Integrity
  • Document, enforce, and maintain Salesforce data governance policies.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across accounts, contacts, opportunities, and territories.
  • Perform regular data audits and validations to maintain reporting and forecasting integrity.
  • Maintain territory structures, account ownership rules, and customer alignment.
  • Monitor upstream and downstream integrations and understand their impact on Salesforce data and processes.
Business Analysis & Process Improvement
  • Partner with Sales leadership, Product Managers, and stakeholders to analyze business needs and define requirements.
  • Conduct gap analysis between current (“as-is”) and future (“to-be”) sales processes.
  • Translate business needs into functional Salesforce solutions using standard Salesforce capabilities.
  • Promote operational excellence through standardized processes, best practice sharing, and governance.
  • Own and manage the Salesforce enhancement backlog, partnering with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives.
Salesforce Enhancements & Delivery Support
  • Leverage standard Salesforce functionality and light customization (as appropriate) to support business needs.
  • Partner closely with Engineering to support the successful delivery of Salesforce enhancements.
  • Participate in testing and quality assurance cycles to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Stay current on Salesforce releases and recommend updates relevant to organizational needs.
Sales Analytics & Reporting
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret sales data to identify trends, patterns, and performance insights.
  • Develop and maintain Salesforce dashboards and reports to provide real-time visibility for Sales and leadership.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of pipeline health, territory performance, and sales effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to define, track, and monitor KPIs and sales targets.
  • Support sales forecasting and planning using historical data and trend analysis.
  • Translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for decision-makers.
Qualifications
Required
  • 2-4 years of experience in Sales Operations, Sales Analytics, or Salesforce-focused roles.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Salesforce as a system of record (HubSpot experience nice to have.)
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, territory management, and account ownership models.
  • Experience building Salesforce reports and dashboards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to data integrity.
Preferred
  • Salesforce Administrator certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience partnering with Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Familiarity with sales forecasting, quota planning, and performance measurement.
  • Experience with data visualization or analysis tools beyond Salesforce (Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience supporting scaling sales organizations.
