Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
• Generate leads, cold calling, field visits to potential clients
• Identify and target new customers (e.g. food processors, converters, packaging companies, caterers)
• Maintain relationships with existing clients, handle queries, up-selling
Territory / Channel Management
• Map the territory / region, allocate resources, plan sales routes
• Manage distribution channels, dealers, sub-stockists
• Monitor competitor products and activities
Product Knowledge
• Understand specifications, grades, thickness, width, alloy, finishing of aluminium foils
• Be able to explain technical advantages, cost benefits, usage applications
Pricing, Quotation & Negotiation
• Prepare quotations, negotiate with clients, manage discounting, margins
• Work with internal teams (logistics, production) for delivery timelines
Sales Reporting & Forecasting
• Maintain CRM / sales tool data (clients, leads, follow-ups)
• Prepare weekly / monthly / quarterly sales reports and forecasts
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs): sales volume, revenue, margin, collection
After-Sales / Service
• Ensure customer satisfaction, handle complaints, follow-up on deliveries
• Coordinate with logistics, production, quality control for smooth execution
Team / Cross-functional Collaboration
• Liaise with production, procurement, quality, marketing to ensure delivery & product support
• Participate in trade fairs, exhibitions, product demos
Qualifications & Skills
Essential / Preferred:
• MBA (preferably Marketing / Sales specialization)
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
• Strong interpersonal skills & confidence to interact with clients
• Willingness to travel extensively (in region / across state)
• Analytical mindset, ability to learn technical product specifications
• Basic proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) & CRM
• Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
• Self-motivated, result-oriented attitude
Desirable (optional):
• Internship / project experience in sales / marketing / FMCG / industrial sales
• Knowledge or exposure to packaging / metal / foil / industrial products
• Local language skills in the territory (for easier communication with clients)
