Position Summary 

The Sales Manager ESS is an individual contributor role responsible for driving sales growth and managing customer relationships for Energy Storage Systems (ESS) in South-West Europe (Spain, Portugal). The role focuses on account development, new customer acquisition, and market expansion, while closely collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project execution across this product line. 
 

Reporting Line 

Reports to: Regional Sales Director 
No direct reports 
 
Major Responsibilities 
  • Contribute to regional sales and marketing strategies for ESS in the region
  • Actively manage and grow existing customer accounts while developing new business opportunities for ESS solutions
  • Own end-to-end sales activities for assigned customers, including commercial negotiations, contract discussions, and after-sales coordination
  • Act as the primary commercial point of contact for customers regarding ESS offerings
  • Collect and analyse market intelligence (competitors, pricing, regulations, customer needs) related to energy storage.
  • Support brand positioning and market presence for ESS solutions through customer engagement and industry activities
  • Coordinate closely with presales, HQ counterpartslogistics, operations, and service teams to ensure accurate solution design, smooth order execution, and high customer satisfaction

Performance Indicators 

  • Revenue and/or order intake for ESS vs. target 
  • Pipeline development and conversion rate across both product lines
  • New customer acquisition in ESS segments
  • Customerretentionandsatisfaction
  • Forecast accuracy and CRM data quality

Your profile

Required Qualifications 
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience in the PV and/or ESS industry
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Solid understanding of PV and energy storage market dynamics and policies in the region
  • Existing customer network in the region is a strong advantage
  • Spanish: C2 (near native proficiency); English: C1 (professional working proficiency)
