Purpose

The SIOP Lead is a cross-functional project leader responsible for orchestrating the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning process for complex, engineered products in a high-growth, high-change environment. This role owns the monthly SIOP cycle, drives cross-functional alignment across Sales, Programs, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance, and ensures that long-range plans are feasible, data-driven, and clearly tied into executable operations plans — often navigating conflicting priorities, imperfect data, and time-constrained decisions.

In addition, this role owns the progression of SIOP maturity and partners closely with data science and digital teams to design, implement, and continuously improve the planning tools, analytics platforms, and systems that enable a modern, highly automated SIOP process as the organization scales.

The Role

  • Lead the end‑to‑end SIOP process (demand, supply, inventory, and consensus) on a monthly cadence, ensuring timely inputs, scenario analysis, and clear decisions at each step.
    • Facilitate cross‑functional SIOP meetings, aligning Sales, Programs, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance around a single, agreed demand and supply plan.
  • Maintain data input/output sources of truth, update cadence expectations, holding stakeholders accountable for accurate and timely inputs into SIOP process and related planning tools (ERP, BI).
  • Partner closely with data and product teams to help lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of advanced analytics, dashboards, and scenario‑modeling capabilities that support SIOP maturity progression.
  • Perform gap analyses between demand and supply, identify risks and opportunities, and drive mitigation plans including alternate sourcing, outsourcing, overtime, or demand‑shaping options.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure the SIOP plan is aligned with the financial plan and supports revenue or other financial targets.
  • Lead or support continuous improvement projects related to forecasting, planning parameters, lead times, and inventory policies across plants and distribution networks.
  • Provide clear executive‑level SIOP reporting, including risk/opportunity summaries, scenario recommendations, and trade‑off implications.
  • Coach and develop planners and cross‑functional contributors on SIOP concepts, metrics, and best practices to embed SIOP as a core management process.
  • Implement and maintain SIOP playbooks, calendars, and standard work, ensuring process discipline as the organization scales across sites, product lines, or business units.

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • Progressive experience in demand planning, supply planning, production planning, program management, or S&OP/SIOP leadership within advanced manufacturing, electronics, aerospace, medical devices, or related technology‑intensive sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and implement processes in a growing business.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with a proven ability to influence and drive decisions cross-functionally and at all levels of an organization (executive leadership to execution teams).
  • Experience leading impactful cross-functional projects involving data and business processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and advanced planning or analytics tools (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, o9, Power BI, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of key supply chain concepts: forecasting, capacity planning, inventory optimization, lead‑time management, and product lifecycle management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Growth mindset with a track record of building or maturing processes, not just operating in steady state environments.
  • Comfort operating in fast-changing, ambiguous environments with imperfect data and time-constrained decisions.
  • Systems thinker who sees end-to-end value streams and can simplify complex data and business planning processes into high level visuals and discussions for decision-making.
  • Data driven and highly analytical, comfortable challenging assumptions and using facts to resolve conflicts.
  • Strong collaborator who breaks down functional silos and creates shared ownership of the plan.
  • Bias for action, with a focus on execution, follow through, and measurable results.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and comfortable operating with urgency and ambiguity while still driving structure and accountability.
  • Strong influencer and facilitator who can navigate conflicting priorities, challenge assumptions, and align senior leaders and technical teams around difficult tradeoff decisions.

Work Environment

  • This role operates in both office and manufacturing floor environments, requiring occasional interaction with production teams to address planning and operational needs.
  • Occasional travel to additional Divergent facilities, customer sites, or program kickoff meetings.
