This is a 50/50 hybrid role, balancing technical solution development with sales collaboration to drive revenue and long-term customer success.

Your Role & Responsibilities

Sales Support & Solution Design (50%)

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor, translating customer needs into tailored solutions.
  • Partner with the Sales team to develop and present compelling Voice, Video, and Data solutions that drive business value.
  • Lead technical pre-sales demonstrations and proof-of-concept presentations to showcase product capabilities.
  • Assist in crafting proposals, responding to RFPs, and managing pricing, quoting, and contract lifecycles.
  • Maintain accurate customer and pipeline data in CRM systems (Salesforce or equivalent).

Engineering & Customer Engagement (50%)

  • Support post-sales deployment, initial equipment installations, and solution testing.
  • Provide exceptional ongoing support, ensuring technical solutions align with business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to enhance customer experience and increase revenue.
  • Ensure customer network configurations and system documentation remain up-to-date.
  • Conduct technical training sessions for the Sales team and customers.

What You Bring to the Table

Technical Expertise – Strong foundation in IP Network Administration with experience in designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex systems.

Customer-Focused Mindset – Ability to translate complex technical concepts into real-world business solutions.

Sales Acumen – A proactive approach to supporting the sales process and identifying new revenue opportunities.

Communication & Collaboration – Strong presentation skills, ability to engage customers, and work seamlessly across teams.

Requirements

Required:

  • 3+ years supporting Sales and Product teams with technical solution development.
  • 5+ years of IP Network Administration experience.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory for client meetings (typically weekly).

Preferred:

  • Cisco CCNA certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms

Location & Work Environment

  • Hybrid role – Work remotely, with travel required within a 100-mile radius of Baton Rouge (New Orleans, Lafayette, Covington preferred).
  • Must have reliable transportation for client meetings, typically once a week.
