Position Overview:
ShadowDragon provides ethical Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) software, link analysis, unique datasets, and training to allow the freedom to focus on the investigation, not the time-consuming tasks of collecting data. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director for the US Government. This individual will be instrumental in driving revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, acquiring new clients, and expanding relationships with existing ones, with a primary focus on the Federal Civilian Government. The Sales Director will focus on both growing new accounts and deepening engagement with current clients. Key responsibilities include managing a portfolio of accounts, developing new business, fostering strong relationships with clients, and coordinating with internal teams. The ideal candidate will have experience working either within government sales; have direct military, law enforcement or cyber intelligence background; or broader OSINT community experience; and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills with understanding of the US Government market.
Responsibilities:
- New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by understanding the market landscape, client needs, and ShadowDragon’s unique value propositions. Proactively generate leads in close collaboration with team members.
- Account Management: Manage and grow relationships with existing clients across US Government.
- Client Retention & Growth: Drive client satisfaction, retention, and account expansion by understanding each client’s goals and offering tailored solutions that align with their needs.
- Sales Strategy Execution: Collaborate with the VP of Global Government and other team members to define and execute regional sales strategies, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the product, marketing, and support teams to ensure client needs are addressed and product enhancements align with market demand.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular updates to the VP of Global Government on sales performance, account status, and market trends. Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports as needed.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead contract discussions and negotiations, ensuring that deals are closed efficiently and in line with company policies.
- Industry Expertise: Stay up-to-date on trends, challenges, and developments in the OSINT, cyber threat, and investigative technology sectors, ensuring that you can advise clients on best practices and emerging threats.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and articulate technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
- General understanding of cybersecurity concepts (e.g., threat intelligence, data protection, social media platforms)
- Willingness to learn technical aspects of cybersecurity solutions quickly.
- Familiarity with SaaS or subscription-based sales is beneficial.
- Ability to identify customer needs and align them with the company offerings.
- Experience with managing customer accounts or providing post-sale support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- 2-4 years of sales, account management (cybersecurity or tech-related experience) is a plus.
- Experience using HubSpot, Outreach, Zoom Info or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity platforms (e.g., endpoint protection, threat intelligence) is a plus.
