We're looking for a Director of Sales for the Southeast region to lead a team of account executives and help us expand our client base of public safety agencies in the Southeast region. We're looking for someone with a track record of success in selling enterprise software who enjoys mentoring and motivating a sales team.
Responsibilities
- Develop a strategic sales plan for the geographic territory and ensure the plan is implemented in a manner that maximizes revenue growth.
- Act as a resource for the sales team on day-to-day activities and train newly hired Account Executives.
- Manage personnel issues and decisions such as hiring, employee performance, and professional development.
- Negotiate contracts and handle pricing decisions within given parameters.
- Travel to trade shows and client sites as needed, approximately 40-60%.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience selling enterprise software products and services, preferably in the public safety market.
- Public safety and/or ERP sales experience is desired, not mandatory.
- Proven experience acting as a resource to staff in a leadership capacity.
- Proven track record of helping employees achieve maximum performance.
- A competitive drive and results-oriented approach.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and employees.
- Valid driver's license.
