Sales Director
TLDR
Drive commercial growth in Mexico and internationally by leading a high-performing sales team and managing distributor relationships in a fast-paced environment.
The Sales Director will serve as the commercial engine, owning the full revenue cycle from strategic planning through execution. Reporting directly to the founding leadership team, this individual will be responsible for scaling our domestic distribution in Mexico while driving international commercial growth across priority markets outside the United States.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment. You will manage a small but high-performing sales team, build and nurture distributor relationships, and make the kind of bold commercial decisions that define a brand’s trajectory.
Key responsibilities:
Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth
• Develop and execute the annual sales strategy aligned with the company's growth ambitions in Mexico and international markets
• Own revenue targets: set quotas, monitor pipeline, and drive accountability across the team
• Identify and prioritize new market entry opportunities, channel development, and premium retail partnerships
• Lead strategic commercial decision-making, including pricing strategy, margin management, and market positioning
Distributor & Channel Management
• Build, manage, and grow a network of distributors and retail partners both in Mexico and internationally (excluding the US)
• Conduct proactive distributor outreach, negotiate terms, and manage performance contracts
• Develop relationships with airport retail operators, duty-free channels, luxury hotels, and premium hospitality venues
• Monitor distributor inventory, sell-through rates, and brand representation at point of sale
Team Leadership
• Lead, mentor, and grow a small sales team — currently lean and nimble, with plans to scale
• Set clear KPIs, conduct regular performance reviews, and foster a culture of ownership and excellence
• Work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and brand teams to align commercial and brand priorities
Business Intelligence & Technology
• Leverage Odoo CRM/ERP platform for pipeline management, reporting, and forecasting
• Utilize AI-powered sales tools to identify opportunities, optimize outreach, and improve commercial efficiency
• Produce regular sales performance reports and present insights and recommendations to leadership
Brand Representation
• Represent the company at trade events, luxury lifestyle activations, and industry gatherings
• Serve as a credible, polished commercial ambassador who embodies the values of the brand
Requirements
• 5–6+ years of progressive sales experience, with at least 2–3 years in a team management or sales leadership capacity
• Proven track record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets in a commercial environment
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English — written and spoken (essential for international distributor communication)
• Experience in premium consumer goods, luxury goods, wine & spirits, tobacco, or lifestyle brands
• Demonstrated experience in distributor management and channel development
• Hands-on experience with Odoo or equivalent CRM/ERP platform
• Comfort with AI sales tools and a genuine curiosity for leveraging technology in commercial operations
• Strong commercial acumen — pricing, margins, P&L literacy
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
