About The Role

As we continue to scale the ShopYourLikes platform, we’re seeking a Vice President, Brand Partnerships to lead and expand our direct brand and retail advertiser relationships. This strategic leadership role will be instrumental in accelerating a key revenue stream and shaping the future of paid partnerships across SYL.

You’ll be responsible for developing and executing a robust new business strategy, cultivating high-value brand relationships, and delivering impactful performance-based solutions. We're looking for a high-energy dealmaker with deep expertise in affiliate or partnership marketing, a strong hunter mentality, and the ability to operate both strategically and tactically.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity with visibility across the organization and the expectation to evolve into a player/coach leader as we grow the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive New Business: Own the end-to-end sales process for ShopYourLikes paid partnership solutions, targeting brand and retail advertisers.
  • Establish Strategic Partnerships: Build, pitch, and close high-value opportunities by aligning our performance solutions with client goals, particularly within retail and CPG verticals.
  • Leverage Affiliate Marketing Expertise: Use your deep understanding of the affiliate landscape to tailor performance-driven packages and clearly articulate ROI to prospective partners.
  • Client Consultation & Growth: Act as a strategic advisor to brand partners, helping them optimize affiliate and paid partnership strategies to drive measurable revenue outcomes.
  • Sales Excellence & Pipeline Management: Manage outreach, lead qualification, pipeline reporting, CRM activity, and proposal development with discipline and precision.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with campaign management, marketing, and leadership to ensure cohesive go-to-market efforts, seamless execution, and strong client outcomes.
  • Represent SYL in Market: Serve as a brand ambassador at industry events, client meetings, and conferences to elevate ShopYourLikes’ presence and thought leadership.
  • Inform Strategy: Provide market insights and client feedback to influence product innovation and GTM positioning.
  • Deliver Results: Consistently meet or exceed quarterly revenue and pipeline goals, with a focus on sustainable, long-term client value.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in influencer marketing, social media, or digital media sales—with a strong preference for candidates who have sold into brands and retailers within the affiliate or performance marketing space
  • Proven track record of leveraging affiliate strategies to drive measurable revenue growth for brand and retail clients
  • Demonstrated history of exceeding sales targets and delivering strong performance against financial goals
  • Experience in a hybrid player/coach role—comfortable owning a personal book of business while also mentoring and developing junior team members
  • Deep relationships and a strong network across retail and CPG industries
  • Success operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments, ideally within an early-stage or rapidly evolving business unit
  • Ability to adapt quickly, sell into emerging opportunities, and thrive amid changing market conditions
  • Cross-functional collaborator with experience working closely with commercial leadership, legal, finance, and campaign operations to close deals and support client success

Technical Proficiency

  • Strong command of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, especially PowerPoint and Google Slides for sales storytelling and presentations
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar tools for pipeline management, reporting, and forecasting
  • Familiarity with affiliate marketing platforms, tools, and performance analytics is a significant advantage
  • Proficient in using digital contracting tools like DocuSign (or equivalent) to streamline client onboarding and agreement execution
