Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who The Client Is: We are a recruitment and training company that helps ambitious young professionals break into Mergers & Acquisitions roles. Our core product is a flat-fee program that combines self-paced education, hands-on mentoring, and direct access to our founders’ recruitment network. This proven system helps candidates land M&A roles in as little as 8 weeks.

Our founder generates a high volume of inbound interest through LinkedIn (200+ leads per week), and we are expanding our team to ensure every prospect receives timely, high-quality communication and is booked into a call with our sales team.

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and commercially confident Sales Development professional to manage and convert a high volume of inbound leads. This role focuses on both closing high-ticket offers directly and booking qualified appointments for our sales team.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional spoken English (Australian, American, or UK accent preferred), strong high-ticket sales experience, and the ability to engage Australian prospects on the phone with ease and confidence. Prior experience in M&A or professional services is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead Management & Qualification
    • Handle a large volume of inbound leads efficiently while maintaining conversation quality
    • Engage prospects in high-stakes, professional conversations to assess fit, intent, and readiness
    • Qualify decision-makers and gather critical context before deciding whether to close or book an appointment
  • High-Ticket Closing & Appointment Setting
    • Close deals directly on high-value calls when appropriate
    • Book appointments with senior sales or closing teams when further engagement is needed
    • Apply advanced objection-handling techniques to move prospects toward conversion
    • Maintain control of conversations while building trust and credibility
  • Follow-Up & Pipeline Management
    • Execute structured follow-up strategies to maximize conversion rates
    • Ensure no qualified lead is dropped or mishandled
    • Maintain accurate lead notes and status updates in CRM or tracking systems
  • Sales Team Collaboration
    • Provide detailed handoff notes to closers to support higher close rates
    • Share insights on lead quality, objections, and common patterns
    • Align closely with the sales team to continuously improve qualification and closing standards
  • Professional Representation
    • Represent the brand with maturity, clarity, and professionalism at all times
    • Communicate confidently in sensitive, high-stakes conversations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in high-ticket sales closing and/or appointment setting
  • Exceptional spoken English, preferably with an Australian, American, or UK accent
  • Strong experience managing inbound sales calls and high-value conversations
  • Demonstrated success handling large volumes of leads while maintaining quality and conversion rates
  • Excellent objection-handling, qualification, and conversational control skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working within structured sales frameworks and CRMs
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Background in professional services, finance, consulting, recruitment, or M&A is advantageous (industry knowledge not required)
  • Experience working with premium or high-value offers is highly desirable
