Sales Application Engineer (Flares)

  • Understand the requirement and needs from customer.
  • Review of tender document/customer specification
  • Carrying out the process design for flare system and its auxiliary equipment’s
  • Preparing technically feasible and commercial proposal, that satisfying the requirement of process and customer requirements.
  • Provide technical supports to sales.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with customer.
  • Floating the enquires to sub vendors for quotation and evaluating sub vendors offers.
  • Preparation of BOM to develops cost estimates according to established guidelines.
  • Preparation of turnover package document for project team after award of project.
  • Travels to customer's facilities for site support and details needed for technical review and proposal generation.
  • Assists with technical development and risk assessment of customer inquiries.
  • Sets product pricing using mark-up and commission schedules established by management.
  • Determines drawings needed for quotation and coordinates their completion.
  • Follow-up on any written or verbal correspondence with customer during quotation phase.
  • Visits with customer's post-proposal issuance to discuss and negotiate proposal.
  • Provide status reports to management on overall proposal status and activities.
  • Assist with the creation and modification of sales presentations / documents using Microsoft Office, Excel / PowerPoint / Publisher / Adobe and all Web based systems.
  • Works with management to determine updated skills and tools needed to continue improving performance and knowledge.
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Ideally has proven experience as a Sales Application Engineer, ideally in the flare systems domain or a related industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of flare systems design, operation, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering successful proposals.
  • Strong financial acumen and the ability to develop accurate cost estimates.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using proposal management tools and software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Adept at handling multiple proposals simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
