Location:  Niseko/Furano, Hokkaido, Japan

Contract term: Seasonal with possibility to renew contract for 1 year.

Work hours: 40 hours per week average. Roster will be made based on resort occupancy and hours variable dependent on the schedule of guests and the tasks requiring completion each day – the role will not always follow a routine pattern of hours and as such will include work on weekends and public holidays.

The uncompromising guest experience starts with the booking process, continues with the bespoke itinerary curation, and right through to arrival in Niseko and throughout their stay at our luxurious properties, and until they bid farewell to Niseko.

Key responsibilities


  • Preparing and checking properties before guest arrival to ensure they meet a professional standard and in line with guest expectation.

  • Meeting guests upon arrival and transporting them safely to their property.

  • Check guests into their accommodation, ensuring paperwork is completed correctly and providing guests with information regarding accommodation features, important information and local points of interest.

  • Assisting guests with check-out including luggage storage and transporting guests to departing transportation if required

  • Transporting guests to and from the Grand Hirafu ski lifts and assisting them with skis / snowboards, poles etc.

  • Assisting guests with resort related enquiries, answering questions and generally being a source of local knowledge for guests

  • Ad-hoc jobs including package delivery, setting up gates / futons in properties, refueling and washing vehicles, driving staff to/from work, snow clearing, etc.

  • Being an all-round cheerful, helpful, and professional face to our customers and staff. This is a very guest-facing role that sets the tone for everyone’s holiday.

Qualifications


  • Tertiary education, degree in hospitality preferred.

  • Hospitality and luxury hotel working experience preferred.

  • Eligible to receive work authorization in Japan (Working Holiday Visa preferred)

  • International Driver License/Japanese Driver License preferred.

 

What We Offer:

  • Competitive monthly/hourly rates based on visa status.
  • Monthly allowance of ¥10,000 for food and other living expenses.
  • Winter recreational allowance of up to ¥60,000 upon contract completion (minimum 3 months).
