About the Role
You will work at the intersection of RPA, backend engineering, and AI. Your primary focus will be designing and building reliable automations (mainly with UiPath), while also helping to shape the backend integrations (APIs, services, event-driven flows) that power them. Along the way, you’ll integrate AI capabilities such as OCR, NLP, and LLM-based components to make our automation platform smarter, more scalable, and easier to maintain.
Responsibilites
Design, develop and maintain RPA workflows (mainly with UiPath) following agreed development standards and best practices
Integrate robots with internal and external systems via APIs, queues, webhooks and message-based patterns
Bring cognitive / AI capabilities (OCR, NLP, LLM-based agents, document understanding, classification, etc.) into existing and new automations
Implement proper exception handling, retry, transaction and queue-based designs to ensure resilience and scalability
Contribute to code reviews, refactoring efforts and continuous improvement of our internal RPA framework and libraries
Work closely with business and product stakeholders to translate ambiguous requirements into clear, automatable use cases
Support monitoring and observability of robots (logs, metrics, dashboards, alerts) and participate in incident/defect resolution
Collaborate within an Agile team (Scrum/Kanban), actively participating in planning, refinement and retrospectives
Expected Qualifications
2+ years of hands-on experience with RPA tools, preferably UiPath (Studio/Studio Web, Orchestrator, Queues, REFramework or similar)
Experience integrating cognitive / AI services (e.g. OCR engines, NLP/LLM APIs, Document Understanding, classification/extraction models) into automations
Solid experience in at least one programming language, preferably C#/.NET and/or Python (other languages like Java, JS, VB, etc. are a plus)
Experience consuming and (preferably) designing RESTful APIs (JSON/XML, authentication, error handling, pagination, etc.)
Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.); basic NoSQL knowledge is a plus
Practical experience with Git-based source control (GitLab/GitHub/Bitbucket) and branching/merge workflows
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and working in cross-functional teams
Strong communication skills; able to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa
Curiosity and a growth mindset: eager to experiment, learn new tools/approaches and share knowledge with the team
Nice to Have
Hands-on experience with UiPath test automation, libraries and cross-platform projects
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for RPA (e.g. GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) for packaging, testing and deploying automations
Experience with logging & observability stacks (e.g. Elastic Stack, Application Insights, Prometheus/Grafana)
Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message brokers (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus)
Experience with low-code / no-code automation tools, especially n8n (bonus if you’ve also used Zapier, Make, etc.) to orchestrate integrations and workflows around RPA solutions
Understanding of clean architecture / DDD principles and applying them pragmatically in automation or backend projects
Experience working with big data / high-volume logs for analytics, reporting or incident analysis
