The Operations Route Specialist plays a critical role in owning route performance within a defined geographic market, ensuring reliable fulfillment, exceptional customer experience, and scalable execution.This role is built for operators who thrive on ownership. You’ll work closely with Account Managers in your market, take full responsibility for day-to-day route quality, and help build the standards and playbooks that will define Curri’s future operations. What you will do:
Market Ownership: Own all routes within a defined geographic area, serving as the primary operator responsible for route quality, fulfillment, and performance.
Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, serving as the primary point of contact for route-related questions, issues, and escalations.
Onboarding & Fulfillment: Manage the end-to-end fulfillment process for routes, including onboarding new carriers and drivers to ensure seamless transitions and reliable service.
Daily Route Oversight: Update route instances daily with customer charges, driver pay rates, and all relevant operational costs.
Driver Management: Proactively manage driver call-outs, no-shows, vacation requests, and availability, clearly communicating expectations to minimize disruptions.
Customer Communication: Proactively notify and align with customers when drivers are unavailable or requesting time off, ensuring transparency and continuity of service.
Live Route Support: Ensure drivers are updating daily stops in DORS and provide real-time support as needed to keep routes running smoothly.
Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies with drivers via Stripe quickly and accurately.
Coverage Planning: Coordinate personal time off to ensure uninterrupted market coverage, partnering with other Route Specialists when needed.
Performance Reporting: Provide weekly updates on market performance, highlighting risks, wins, and actions being taken to improve quality and efficiency.
Operational Efficiency: Partner with operational leads to identify and prioritize opportunities to improve route efficiency and scalability.
What you need to have:
Demonstrated ability to drive execution in fast-paced, operational environments
Strong bias for action with sound operational decision-making skills
Excellent planning, organization, and prioritization capabilities
Comfort managing multiple routes, stakeholders, and real-time issues simultaneously
Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with customers and drivers
Alignment with Curri’s core values and a high sense of ownership
Bonus points for:
Experience in logistics, delivery operations, or marketplace environments
Background at companies such as Amazon, UPS, FedEx, Uber, DoorDash, or similar
Prior experience in roles such as Route Specialist, Area Manager, or On-Road Operations
Familiarity with driver management tools, route optimization, or real-time dispatch systems
