You will work on cutting-edge 100,000-pound autonomous robots and engineer complex systems at the intersection of hardware, software, robotics, and AI. About the role As a Robotics Technician, you will be immersed in the development and integration of next-gen vehicles. Interacting daily with engineers, your role will entail manufacturing, validating, and integrating 1st harness articles on next-gen vehicles. The ideal candidate possesses substantial experience collaborating with engineers to design complex harnesses that meet automotive-quality standards. You are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and passionate about robotics and autonomy, thriving in a fast-paced environment. Minimum Qualifications
  • Extensive practical experience in manufacturing custom harnesses for automotive or similar applications.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sealed and un-sealed connectors, including but not limited to TE, Amphenol, Molex, Yazaki, Aptiv, Delphi, etc…
  • Hands-on proficiency in wire stripping, crimping, splicing, and harness dressing to a class 2 of IPC/WHMA-620 standard.
  • Practical experience with wiring tailored to various communication protocols such as CAN, Serial, LIN, RF, and Ethernet.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics generated from CAD tools like Altium, Cadence, Kicad, or similar software.
  • Skilled in using hand and power tools, as well as workshop equipment like drill presses, band saws, etc.
  • Proven experience with task tracking tools such as JIRA, Asana, Monday, or similar platforms.
  • Comfortable working with Linux OS and using Linux command lines.
  • Must be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Preferred Qualifications / Bonus Points
  • Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-610, SAE/USCAR, MIL-STD or NASA standards.
  • Proficient in performing basic PCBA rework, including soldering and desoldering electronic components.
  • Extensive knowledge of design principles for installing and routing harnesses on mobile platforms, such as robotics, automotive, and airplanes.
  • Familiar with bonding and clamping techniques for harness routing.
  • Experienced in developing assembly processes, test procedures, and SOPs from the ground up using modern documentation software.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems in field environments.
  • Capable of identifying and implementing improvements to build and maintenance procedures to prevent breakdowns or failures.
  • Familiar with harness design CAD tools, such as Cadonix, Rapid Harness, Edrawings, Ion, or similar software.
  • Experienced in creating training materials and instructing personnel on assembly procedures.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.

    The majority of the work will be performed indoors in a hybrid space (office space + electronics/garage lab space). Performance of the position requires working safely and may occasionally require climbing up to elevated surfaces, working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, noise levels, and on a range of outdoor work surfaces. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus in addition, the position may require frequent movement and activity relating to using keyboards, viewing data on computer displays, and communicating verbally and in writing. You may be required to occasionally stand for extended periods, operate tools and controls, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
