We are looking for a ​Robotics Software Engineer​ in support to our client Fusion for Energy for their location in ​Barcelona, Spain​. The successful applicant will be employed by ATG Europe and will be working onsite at our client’s location.

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage). 

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to: 

• Support in test specification and test execution for HMI software applications to control and monitor robotics equipment, and for robotics controller software; 

• Support with the maintenance of the client’s Remote Handling Control System software platform consisting of HMI software and robotics control software; 

• Follow-up and verification of software design, manufacturing and testing activities carried out by the client’s suppliers.

Requirements

Please ensure that your CV clearly explains how you meet these mandatory requirements. If it doesn’t align completely with the essential criteria, it could result in rejection. 

• BEng/BSc in Industrial, Electro-Mechanics, Computer Science, Electronics. Alternatively, candidates with vocational training and 5+ years of experience can also be considered;   

• Experience in the management of projects related to the development of software for applications linked to the control systems of robotics and/or automation projects; 

• Experience in the specification and management of software requirements, including the definition and management of software design documentation and/or user manuals; 

• Experience in software verification and validation, and software testing, including the development of test specifications and test environments, test execution, and reporting; 

• Experience in the development in C and C++ of real-time software linked to the control systems of robotics and/or automation projects; 

• Experience in the design, development, and testing of safety-critical, real-time software for embedded systems; 

• Experience in the development of human-machine interface software on Qty for robotic applications; 

• Experience in the use of artificial intelligence techniques; 

• Candidates must be eligible to work and live in the EU; 

• Fluency in English both written and spoken.
