Robotic Vision Engineer

Beit HaEmek , Israel

AI overview

Design and optimize visual perception systems for autonomous robotic beehives, contributing to sustainable agriculture and biodiversity preservation.

Reporting line: AI Team Leader

Scope: Full time

Location: Beit HaEmek

We are looking for a curious, hands-on, and lean-thinking Robotic Vision Engineer to join our R&D team. In this role, you’ll take ownership of designing and optimizing the visual perception systems that power our autonomous robotic beehives.
You’ll bring an ownership mindset, a can-do attitude, and a passion for learning — combining curiosity, creativity, and technical excellence to build real-world solutions that make an impact.

🌍 At Beewise, we’re on a mission to save the world — one bee at a time.
We combine robotics, AI, and environmental science to protect pollinators and preserve biodiversity.
Our team of engineers and innovators is shaping the future of sustainable agriculture — using technology for good.

If you’re passionate about computer vision, robotics, and AI, and want to make a tangible impact on the planet, we’d love to have you on board.

What You’ll Do?

  • Translating raw visual data in a Multiview setup into precise 3D positioning for robotic movements
  • Fusion of vision data with other types of sensors
  • Using/Developing both deep learning models and classic algorithmic techniques
  • Testing your solutions in real-world systems and refining for accuracy and robustness

Requirements:

  • M.Sc. (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Autonomous Systems and Robotics Interdisciplinary Program
  • At least 3 years of experience in 3D perception using cameras, e.g. visual servoing, 3D reconstruction and stereo vision.
  • Strong proficiency in classical computer vision techniques (e.g., feature detection & matching, geometric transformations)

Advantages:

  • Experience with designing and implementing  control loops
  • Experience with simulation tools (Issac sim / Gazebo)
  • Experience applying deep learning models to vision or perception data

Beewise is probably the coolest, most impactful, start-up you haven't heard of; yet. The first of its kind to successfully save the bees, at  scale, and by that secure the global food supply. We do this by deploying Machine Learning, AI, precision robotics, and state of the art software and hardware designs (Lean anyone?). We operate at the intersection of software, artificial intelligence, hardware and biology. Can it get any more challenging? If you like a good challenge and are ready to work for a mid-sized start-up with an (almost) impossible mission, to save the world (no less), keep reading.
