Our EMEA Oprations Team is currently looking for a Robotic Solutions Specialist to play a pivotal role in supporting turnkey collaborative robot solutions throughout the entire project lifecycle. This person will be working from Western Europe (Germany, Italy, France or Spain preferred, near hub airport), with occasional trips to Canada or elsewhere for business requirements (tradeshows, team meetings).



ROLE OVERVIEW : 


Acting as both a technical advisor and a project facilitator, this individual engages, to different levels,  in all phases of the process, from pre-sales to project delivery, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction. The Robotics Solutions Specialist builds and works in close collaboration with Sales to develop and nurture a common/shared sense of ownership of each potential project.



MEANINGFUL RESPONSIBILITIES  :


  • Build Turnkey Solution Concept & Support the Sales Team in the pre-sale phase of the deal:
    • Work closely with customers to understand their needs, challenges, and technical automation requirements.
    • Technical qualification of turnkey projects, proof-of-concept development and demonstrations, create detailed technical and financial proposals and other tailored activities to advance sales opportunities.
    • Provide detailed recommendations and collaborate closely with the sales team to define and propose optimal solutions that meet client needs.
    • Build contractual documents to cover the solution concept, including but not limited to robot simulations, layout, technical drawings, and safety concepts. Define the associated service offer and any custom engineering work.
    • Build formal quotation presentations for customers.
    • Scope clients’ projects into a detailed statement of work and proposal, aligning closely with our sales and services teams.
    • Take ownership, recommend, and decide on the final solution concept that Robotiq will commit to delivering.
    • Along with the Regional Sales Manager, visit customer factories to capture relevant information, build relationships, etc.


  • Project and post-sale phases:
    • Hand-off to a project manager ensuring the solution adheres to the agreed specifications, project delivery timelines and budget, once the project has been secured.
    • Assist with customer relations once the project is started.
    • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment at client sites and within Robotiq facilities.
    • Participate in diagnosing and resolving complex support cases.


  • Customer relationship and experience:
    • Develop strong relationships with decision makers within key customers, our commercial team and our distribution network.
    • Test and provide feedback on product development, features, and application solutions.
    • Document and communicate product improvement opportunities based on interactions with customers.
    • Become a promoter of the products, technologies and application solutions within the community to drive the offer proposal.



  • Ensure the Autonomy of Internal Teams and Customers:
    • Continuously develop the technical expertise of our sales team to enable them to successfully promote our product range.
    • Enhance the technical proficiency of our internal teams and customers by building advanced skills in deploying, using, and troubleshooting our products.
    • Build strong collaborative relationships with internal teams.



QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial or electrical) or related field;
  • Significant experience (>8 years) relevant to the role: technical solution sales, project management, automation, system integration, pre-sale and post-sale support, programming;
  • Technical skills: Content creation, robot programming, technical drawing and knowledge of CE and ISO;
  • Service-oriented mindset, with attention to details;
  • Analytical thinking & Problem solving, must be adaptable;
  • Creativity & resourcefulness;
  • Autonomy & proactivity with inspiring leadership skills;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google G-Suite, CRM Software, ERP, Software, Automation and Robotics technology (Robots, PLCs, conveyors, etc.), etc.
  • Available for travel approximately 12 weeks per year, within the designated area (DACH very frequent), France (Lyon facility quarterly) and/or HQ in Canada (occasionally) for team regroups - Ensure possession of a valid passport and driving license.
  • Languages required and preferred: 
    • English with complete professional Proficiency.
    • Italian or German with complete professional proficiency.
    • French or Spanish proficiency is an asset.
