Risk Control Team Leader

Let’s start with the role
As a Risk Control Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Risk Control team, ensuring effective monitoring and handling of fraud and abuse across all company platforms. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the detection and prevention of fraudulent activity by guiding your team in the analysis of reports, dashboards, and real-time alerts.
You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the business, minimizing financial losses, and optimizing internal processes related to fraud detection. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a strong analytical mindset, experience in fraud/risk operations, and excellent team management skills.

As a Risk Control Team Leader you will:

• Supervise the daily activities of the Risk Control team, ensuring timely and accurate handling of fraud-related cases
• Monitor fraud dashboards, reports, and automated alerts to identify suspicious or abusive patterns in customer behavior
• Design and improve detection rules, thresholds, and alert mechanisms in collaboration with data and operational team
• Review and assess team performance, providing feedback, training, and support to ensure high productivity and quality standards
• Liaise with internal stakeholders (Operations, Payments, Compliance, etc.) to align risk mitigation strategies
• Escalate high-risk or complex cases to senior management with clear and data-driven analysis
• Ensure consistent documentation of risk cases, alerts, and actions taken
• Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the tools and processes used by the team, proposing enhancements where needed

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience in fraud detection, risk operations, or related field within the online betting, gaming, or payments industry
• Previous experience in a team lead or supervisory role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Familiarity with fraud detection tools, rules engines, and reporting dashboards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with shifting priorities
• Strong understanding of player behavior, fraud patterns, and risk-related compliance requirements
  Preferred experience with real-time fraud monitoring systems
• Knowledge of betting or iGaming platforms and risk-related regulatory frameworks
• SQL or other data querying skills is a plus
