About the Opportunity

Dentons Europe is looking to recruit a Risk Assistant working within the Firms new business intake function reporting to Risk Management

We look for proactive, flexible individuals who are team players and demonstrate a commitment to superior client service. As a global law firm, it is essential that our candidates have excellent spoken and written English skills in order to communicate fluently and efficiently.

About the role

  • The core responsibility will be to manage the Risk Team’s email inbox on a daily basis. This will include administrative tasks, such as updating client and matter records, billing information, handling requests for status updates to the Practice
  • Cooperating with other Business Support functions such as finance teams
  • Managing and recording information using internal systems and platforms
  • Filing, recording of client documentation and updating databases
  • Contacting lawyers and assistants for outstanding information
  • Inputting and sorting information into Excel
  • Conducting background checks on companies
  • Responding to routine email inquiries
  • Providing general support to management on ad hoc tasks when necessary

Requirements

  • Proven ability to work as part of a team.
  • Remains calm and works well under pressure; dealing confidently, competently and diplomatically with Partners and legal assistants worldwide.
  • Strong communication skills. Able to follow as well as provide clear and unambiguous information or instructions.
  • The ability to manage a high volume workload effectively
  • Good IT skills
  • Experience working in a professional partnership, or in a business services environment.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work with minimal supervision at busy times
  • Manage time efficiently, delivering work to a consistently high standard and to deadlines
  • Excellent standard of spoken and written English.
  • Proven experience working with MS Office
  • Experience of working in a professional/legal environment
  • Proficiency in additional languages desired.
