Job Role: Revit Draftsperson 

Compensation range:  $1500 AUD - $2000 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who The Client Is: 

We’re a small, design-led architecture studio based in Brisbane, Australia, focused on creating thoughtful, sustainable, well-considered spaces. 

Our all female team has a strong focus on collaboration and wellbeing in our design philosophy and we work on a broad range of project types, with sustainable residential renovations and new builds being our primary focus.  Our team is passionate about providing creative design solutions - both architecturally and throughout the interiors of our homes. We are quality orientated rather than volume/ quantity orientated. We would look forward to developing a genuinely collaborative working relationship with the right candidate, who we anticipate will become embedded within our studio team and culture.

Role Overview: 

This is a production-focused role centred on Revit documentation, but will also incorporate some 3D rendering using Twinmotion. You’ll be supporting the architects by translating resolved designs into clear, accurate drawings across different project stages. Once onboarded, you’ll be trusted to work independently and keep documentation moving without constant oversight. 

The ideal candidate would be systems-orientated individual who takes pride in producing accurate, consistent documentation and who has the ability to work with us to define processes / procedures for our documentation that can support optimised workflow and consistency in relation to quality. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Producing architectural documentation in 3D Revit, utilising parametric modelling and annotations
• Working within established templates, and collaborating with us to develop our drafting manual - specifically for home renovations.
• Coordinating drawings and ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Taking ownership of documentation tasks once briefed
• Collaborating closely with a small, supportive internal team

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong Revit proficiency - this is essential - the successful candidate must be able to produce construction-ready documentation independently.
• Proficiency in rendering software such as Twin Motion (preferred), Enscape, Lumion or similar. (We work in Twin Motion - prior knowledge of this precise software is not essential but competency in producing 3D renderings is required)
• Solid experience working in the metric system
• Clear spoken English for day-to-day collaboration (no client-facing writing required)
• Ability to work collaboratively with our design team and independently after onboarding and training
• Reliable, consistent output and attention to detail
  

Nice to Have

• Experience working in or with warmer-climate contexts
• Interest and knowledge in Passive Design principles
• Exposure to Australia’s National Construction Code
• Experience working on standalone houses
• Experience in documentation of interior cabinetry, lighting and schedules of finishes and fixtures
• A working style that aligns well with an all-female team environment
• Comfort completing practical task assessments
• Openness to paid trial work during the selection process (up to 8 hours)
