Numeral is building the automation backbone for internet commerce — starting with the painful world of sales tax compliance. We handle everything from registration to remittance, delivering a white-glove service so e-commerce businesses can stay laser-focused on what they do best: growing their products, customers, and teams.
We’re one of the fastest-growing companies from Y Combinator’s W23 batch, backed by top-tier investors including Benchmark Capital. Our team has deep roots from the early days at Stripe, Airbnb, Notion, and other breakout companies — and now we’re bringing that same level of craft, speed, and ambition to a space that’s long overdue for reinvention.
Numeral is small but mighty. Growth is already borderline unmanageable — which means every hire we make now will directly shape the trajectory of the company. If you’re excited about joining as an early team member and want the kind of ownership that defines careers, we want to meet you.
Running an online business today means wearing a thousand hats — most of them not the reason founders started their company. Our mission is to eliminate the administrative and accounting burdens that distract businesses from doing what they love.
We’ve already helped hundreds of merchants avoid the headache of building giant finance teams just to manage tax compliance. Tomorrow, we’re scaling that impact even further: building the automation layer that lets internet businesses stay nimble, compliant, and future-proof.
We’re hiring a Revenue Systems Engineer — a technical operator who sits at the intersection of Revenue, Engineering, and Systems to build Numeral’s GTM “operating system”. This is a deeply hands-on role for someone who wants to own the architecture and operations of our GTM stack: Salesforce, Stripe, integrations, data flows, billing, and beyond.
You’ll build and maintain the tools and automations that connect Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure the right data flows to the right place, at the right time. You’ll debug GTM issues, write production-grade code, and turn strategic requirements into system-level solutions.
Please note: this is not a RevOps analyst or Salesforce admin role. It’s a full-stack engineering role applied to the business side. We’re looking for someone who loves TypeScript, thinks in systems, and wants to make a massive impact inside a hyper-scaling company.
If you're excited about solving technical problems that power growth, this is the job for you.
Own the GTM Tech Stack: Be the technical owner of our Salesforce instance and all related integrations (billing, scheduling, email, enrichment, etc.)
Write Code, Not Just Clicks: Build custom scripts, APIs, and automations in TypeScript and Apex. Ship robust and maintainable code across our systems.
Integrate & Maintain Tools: Manage integrations between tools like Chili Piper, Outreach, Gong, and our internal admin tool. Debug and resolve issues.
Drive Data Integrity: Ensure consistency and accuracy across platforms, including Salesforce, Stripe, invoicing , and internal dashboards, with clean, deduped, and reliable data flows.
Support the Revenue Engine: Partner with RevOps, Sales, and Finance to operationalize strategic initiatives (e.g., new pricing models, commissions logic, territory mapping).
Troubleshoot GTM Systems: Act as the go-to engineering resource when GTM systems break or need enhancements. Fix root causes, not just symptoms.
Build for Scale: Anticipate future GTM needs and proactively design architecture that scales with growth.
3+ years of experience as a software engineer or technical systems operator in a GTM context
Proficiency in TypeScript (must have) and Apex (or willingness to learn)
Experience with Salesforce administration and integration
Track record of building internal tools or systems that support sales, marketing, or finance teams
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills — you don’t stop at the first layer of the stack
Comfortable navigating API docs, writing unit tests, and using GitHub workflows
Experience in architecture and building GTM Systems at venture-backed, high-growth companies
Experience working on billing, quote-to-cash, or other revenue-adjacent systems
Be a core builder in an ambitious, globally minded startup.
Work at the intersection of engineering and GTM — ship code that drives revenue.
Gain ownership over mission-critical systems from day one.
Collaborate with high-caliber teammates across Sales, Finance, and Engineering.
Enjoy a flexible, remote-first culture with strong mentorship and career growth.
