About This Role

The Revenue Cycle Specialist is responsible for crucial financial tasks regarding the payment and collections for the organization.


What You’ll Do

  • Research claims denials and complete adjustments accurately and timely

  • Verify that payments received are correct

  • Follow up on reimbursement and appeals in an efficient and timely manner

  • Clearly, accurately, and concisely document in patient record and medical software system according to company guidelines

  • Effectively utilize all functions of the company’s software applications, maintaining accurate and detailed charts and notes

  • Observe legal and ethical guidelines of HIPAA for safeguarding patient and company confidential and proprietary information

  • Comply with payor medical policy, FDA guidelines, and CMS billing and coding guidelines

  • Process all required paperwork according to established procedures while ensuring data integrity

  • Update knowledge and skills by attending in-service programs throughout the year

  • Respond to all internal and external requests/inquiries in a professional and timely manner

  • Other related duties as assigned


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of two years experience in billing, revenue operations, or order processing with major medical billing (i.e. Medicare form 1500)

  • Must possess a strong work ethic and team mentality, with excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, providers, and coworkers


Preferred Experiences

  • Prior experience with ambulatory infusion center software or EMR

  • Prior experience within an infusion or oncology setting
