About the Role

Platform Science is seeking a Senior Revenue Manager to build and scale the financial infrastructure supporting our recurring software and partner revenue streams. This strategic and hands-on role will oversee all aspects of revenue recognition, billing operations, and reporting — with a heavy focus on automation, accuracy, and operational excellence in a pre-IPO environment.

The ideal candidate brings strong SaaS revenue accounting experience, a deep understanding of ASC 606, and a proactive mindset geared toward process improvement. You’ll work cross-functionally with Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, Engineering, and Product to ensure completeness and integrity in our order-to-cash processes while enabling business scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Revenue Operations & Recognition
• Manage the month-end revenue close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, deferred revenue, and revenue by customer/vertical analysis
• Analyze contracts and Salesforce opportunities to ensure proper GAAP/ASC 606 revenue recognition; prepare accounting memos and support documentation
• Maintain ASC 606 sub-ledgers for subscription, professional services, and partner revenue streams
• Billing & Financial Systems
• Lead process improvements to the order-to-cash cycle, including implementation and optimization of billing/revenue recognition systems 
• Create and deliver customer invoices; manage dunning, AR aging reports, and collections processes
• Reconcile partner application data for royalty calculations and process payments, including necessary GL adjustments
• Data, Controls & Reporting
• Design and distribute recurring reports (e.g., billable units, customer revenue, AR performance)
• Partner with Sales, Engineering, Legal, and RevOps to align on data validation, integration, and flow across systems
• Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure revenue and billing data integrity and audit readiness
• Audit & Special Projects
• Support annual financial statement audits by providing revenue and AR documentation
• Lead or contribute to automation projects focused on scaling revenue processes
• Provide ad hoc financial analyses and insights that drive leadership decisions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• 5+ years of experience in Big 4/public accounting or a high-growth SaaS company
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and SaaS revenue recognition
• Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and other ERP/CRM tools
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Proven ability to operate independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to scale billing and revenue operation

This is an exempt role. Our job titles for each posting may span across more than one job level. The estimated base salary for this role is between $79,201 and $120,000. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salaries across all US locations. Compensation packages are based on many factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, work experience, relevant trainings and certifications, business needs, market demands and specific geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
