Revenue Accounting Analyst

As Revenue Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting with timely and accurately reporting revenue according to GAAP and  ASC 606. You will be involved with the order to cash process and related month end close activities. Oftentimes, you will need to collaborate with legal, business development, sales and other functions in the company to ensure compliance to revenue recognition policies. This role will be reporting to the Revenue Manager. What You'll Do
  • Ensure the proper accounting treatment of revenue according to GAAP policies (ASC 606)
  • Understand basic revenue recognition rules, create sales orders based on standard contract reviews, prepare revenue waterfall schedules, ensure the revenue plan in NetSuite is accurate, and post monthly revenue journal entries
  • Facilitate in the month-end close with preparing accrual calculation, creating journal entries and preparing reconciliations for related accounts
  • Facilitate the preparation of invoices and communicate with customers to address and resolve invoice-related questions.
  • Collaborate internally and externally on revenue and margin forecasts versus actuals and resolve discrepancies
  • Participate in external audits by helping with auditor requests
  • Maintain and improve related procedure documentation
  • Other ad hoc projects as assigned
  •  
    Who You Are
  • 4-6+ years work experience 
  • Working experience with ASC 606
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Experience with digital advertising and/or ad tech is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Google Sheets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Familiarity with Enterprise accounting systems such as Netsuite is a plus
  • Task based and deadline focused
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to multi-task and work as a team in a high-volume/high-accuracy environment
  • Public company experience is a plus
