A partner organization is seeking a Retail Supervisor in Cherry Hill, NJ.
With over 430 retail stores worldwide, the company’s Store Leadership Teams are essential to daily operations. Store leaders guide team members, uphold procedures, and help create positive customer experiences while supporting the mission of connecting people with their passions.
As a Retail Supervisor, you will serve as part of the Store Leadership Team, providing direction to associate-level team members in an assigned area of responsibility. This role supports a positive work environment and demonstrates high professional standards through leadership and example.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to associate-level team members within an assigned area.
- Oversee the day-to-day work of associate-level staff.
- Deliver guidance, training, and coaching to ensure efficient operations and proper store procedures that support the in-store customer experience.
- Supervise an assigned department, contributing to store profitability by receiving, handling, replenishing, and processing merchandise.
- Support a collaborative store culture through teamwork and coaching while modeling professional conduct.
- Partner with store leadership to implement policies, procedures, and standards within assigned areas.
- Maintain company standards and ensure adherence to procedures and quality expectations, resolving issues as needed.
Requirements
- No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in a related role or specialization.
- Proficiency with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, in-store technology, and telephone systems.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with store leadership, associates, and customers.
- Ability to work in an active, physical environment; frequent movement and ability to adjust/move items up to 40 lbs.
- May operate specialized equipment and experience exposure to dust and noise.
- Ability to work variable retail hours, which may change seasonally or based on business trends, in compliance with all applicable laws.
- Ability to clearly communicate with others.
