The Opportunity

Join Selkirk Sport as a Retail Store Associate and bring your energy to the heart of Boise’s pickleball scene. In this role, you’ll help customers find the perfect gear, lead fun product demos, and host beginner-friendly clinics that introduce new players to the sport.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, movement-filled environment, connect with the local pickleball community, and represent one of the industry’s most exciting brands. What You’ll Do

Customer Service & Retail Experience

  • Welcome customers warmly and help them find the right paddles, apparel, and accessories.
  • Process sales accurately and maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment.
  • Provide knowledgeable, personable support to shoppers of all experience levels.

Product Demonstrations 

  • Demonstrate Selkirk paddles and gear in-store or on the court.
  • Explain key product features, materials, and performance benefits to assist purchase decisions. 

Beginner Clinics

  • Lead short training sessions for new players, introducing basic shots, rules, and court etiquette.
  • Create welcoming experiences that build customer confidence and connection to the sport. 

Store Operations

  • Restock shelves, manage inventory, and assist with merchandising displays.
  • Help with opening and closing duties to ensure smooth daily operations.

Community Engagement & Events

  • Support local clinics, tournaments, store-hosted events, and brand activations.
  • Build relationships with local pickleball groups and promote upcoming activities.

Core Requirements

  • Retail or customer service experience preferred.
  • Passion for pickleball—playing, coaching, or teaching is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable leading demos and beginner clinics on court.
  • Flexibility to work Saturday's and occasional evenings. 
  • Friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused mindset.


Job Details

  • Starting pay range: $18 per hour
  • Approximately 20 to 30 hours per week
  • Must have some schedule flexibility 
  • Store hours are Monday thru Saturday 10AM to 7PM, closed Sundays
