About

We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our Partnerships team, someone who believes in delivering exceptional service, who can spot growth opportunities, confidently build strong & meaningful relationships with travel agents and regional sales managers and use data effectively. Everyone says they are looking for someone special, and we really mean it!

Your territory covers everything south of Birmingham. From Kent, Essex and London to Cornwall, South Wales, the Isle of Wight and everywhere in between - you’ll own a vast and diverse region full of opportunity. It’s a big patch, with huge potential, varied locations and the chance to work with an exciting mix of partners. Using your amazing personality, relationships and sales skills, you will identify key areas of growth and put plans in place to grow sales and launch products - inspiring partners to believe in the value we bring to their customers.

This role is heavily field-based. You will spend most of your working week visiting travel agents in person, attending regional meetings, hosting sessions, and representing Holiday Extras at events and conferences. There will be times when you are travelling across the region for several days at a time, including overnight stays. Some international travel for conferences may also be required. If you’re energised by being out on the road, meeting new people, seeing different locations and building strong partnerships face to face - this role will suit you perfectly.

The Partnerships team plays a vital role in our growth. We open doors that suppliers cannot, gather invaluable insight from the trade, and help shape how Holiday Extras evolves for customers. As we continue to expand our partner network, this is an exciting time to join the team.

The Role

By joining our team you’ll:

  • Act as the primary relationship owner for travel agent partners across the UK South region
  • Work with your partners to put structured growth plans in place and track performance against clear objectives
  • Build trusted, long-term partnerships by listening carefully, understanding individual business challenges and adapting your approach to different personalities and environments.
  • Inspire and motivate agents through compelling storytelling - helping them understand our products, believe in their value and confidently recommend them to their customers
  • Identify growth opportunities using performance data, KPIs and trading insights
  • Confidently analyse sales metrics and forecasts, spot gaps and present intelligent, commercially sound recommendations
  • Put structured growth plans in place and track performance against clear objectives
  • Deliver engaging, creative and memorable presentations - from small in-store team sessions to presenting at larger conferences with the wider Partnerships team.
  • Represent the Holiday Extras brand professionally at trade fairs, partner meetings and industry events
  • Continuously optimise partnership performance and strengthen commercial outcomes

Travel Expectations

This role involves extensive travel across the South of the UK and regular overnight stays. You will be on the road most weeks, often visiting multiple partners in different locations.

If you enjoy autonomy, variety and being out in the field rather than behind a desk, this role offers genuine freedom and responsibility.

We know your time is precious, so we keep our recruitment process as quick and easy as possible. If we believe you might be a match for a job you’ve applied for, you’ll enter our hiring process as follows:

Requirements

What you can bring to our team:

  • Proven experience in account management, retail development or field-based commercial roles
  • Strong relationship building skills, with the emotional intelligence to read a room, listen actively and adapt your style
  • The ability to influence and challenge constructively while maintaining trust
  • Excellent networking skills, you'll take every opportunity to talk about Holiday Extras.
  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills, able to motivate and inspire different audiences
  • Strong commercial acumen with confidence using numbers, KPIs and trading data to identify opportunities and make recommendations
  • Experience creating and delivering engaging presentations to groups of varying sizes
  • An outgoing personality who loves new experiences and has no problem approaching people proactively.
  • Comfortable initiating conversations and building rapport with different stakeholders
  • A collaborative mindset and desire to work towards shared goals

If you have deep travel industry experience, that’s great. If you’ve built strong retail or commercial partnerships in another sector and can demonstrate your impact, we’re equally keen to hear from you.

Everyone’s career path is individual and different, so this is just a guide. If your experience doesn't precisely match this, you’re encouraged to apply so that we can discover your unique talents!
