Restaurant Hostess/Host, Season 2026 - Splendido, a Belmond Hotel Portofino

For the next season, we are looking for a Restaurant Hostess/host to join the team at our Pool Grill Restaurant.

The candidate should have exceptional taste and exemplary customer service skills. The primary objective is to provide a friendly, attentive, and timely service and to create an exceptional experience for all our guests.  

The candidate reports to Restaurant Manager.

Main duties & responsibilities: 

·       Warmly welcome and greet all guests upon arrival, anticipating their needs and ensuring a positive first impression;

·       Manage restaurant reservations efficiently, using reservation systems, and handle walk-in guests professionally;

·       Accompany guests to their tables, ensuring proper seating arrangements and considering special requests;

·       Maintain an accurate and organized seating chart, managing table turns to optimize restaurant capacity;

·       Effectively communicate with the service team, kitchen, and management regarding guest flow, special requests, and any potential issues;

·       Provide guests with menus and introduce them to their server, ensuring a smooth transition;

·       Handle guest inquiries and special requests with grace and efficiency, resolving minor issues promptly or escalating as necessary;

·       Assist in maintaining the overall ambiance of the dining area, ensuring cleanliness and proper setup;

·       Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and service standards, upholding Belmond's commitment to luxury hospitality.

Requirements

·       A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant environment;

·       Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural warm and engaging personality;

·       A sophisticated and polished appearance, reflecting the luxury standards of Belmond;

·       Proven ability to manage reservations systems and seating arrangements efficiently;

·       Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment;

·       A proactive and intuitive approach to guest service, anticipating needs and exceeding expectations;

·       Fluency in Italian and English is essential; knowledge of other languages (e.g., French, German, Russian) is a significant advantage;

·       A genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering world-class service.

·       We offer seasonal Labour contract according to C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo - Level 4,  Restaurant Hostess;

·       Monthly gross salary around 1.700€+ separate payslip for 13°,14° and TFR;
