As the strategic operational and business leader of Cap Juluca, A Belmond Hotel, you'll play a significant role as key member of the Executive Team. You will oversee all aspects of the resort's operations, ensuring that guests receive an unparalleled experience while upholding the high standards synonymous with the Belmond brand.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage resort operations, ensuring all departments uphold the quality and service standards specific to Belmond.

  • Participates in development and preparation of the Resort’s strategic plan.
  • Enhance guest engagement by ensuring a memorable and personalized experience for all visitors.
  • Collaborate with department heads to set and implement operational goals and objectives effectively.
  • Inspire and mentor the team, fostering a culture of excellence, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
  • Consistently monitor and evaluate performance metrics, implementing strategies for improvement.
  • Oversee budget and financial performance, ensuring that operational targets are met.
  • Actively promote the resort and its offerings, building relationships with stakeholders and potential partners.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A four-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major is required.
  • At minimum, five years’ experience in a senior / executive-level role in an international luxury hotel with a proven track record of outstanding results. 
  • Understanding the demands and aspects of high expectations of guests in an environment with an ADR (average daily rate) of more than US$1500 is essential
  • Must have the expertise and ability to exceed Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards (+90 Points) and Forbes Travel Guide Five Star standards by ensuring quality, attention to detail, and driving of Belmond brand standards throughout the operation.
  • Ability to develop strategic business plans, implementing and delivering results.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire teams and drive performance.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in English, knowledge of additional languages: Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
  • Sound Proficiency in using hotel management software and systems.
