Position Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity for an under-graduate or graduate student, who is interested in learning how to conduct clinical research in the Heart Failure and Transplant Program at UHN. Students will be exposed to a highly competitive academic environment. The knowledge gained from this experience may have invaluable impact on the student academic career. 

Duties:

  • Support clinical and health services research activities within the Heart Failure and Transplant Program at UHN, including data collection and organization.
  • Assist with the preparation of research outputs, including a written project summary and abstract.
  • Contribute to the analysis and synthesis of clinical or program-level data under the guidance of the research team.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and trainees in a fast-paced academic clinical research environment.
  • Apply strong attention to detail and time-management skills to support multiple project deliverables and deadlines.
  • Communicate research progress and findings clearly through written and verbal updates.
  • Prepare and present an abstract or poster summarizing the project’s objectives, methods, and findings at the Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research Summer Research Day.
  • Satisfactory university academic achievement 
  • Interest in health services and clinical research a must 
  • High level of interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills 
  • High degree of attention to detail 
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as a member of a team 
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of computer software applications including Microsoft Office programs, data collection, and data management software 
  • Well-developed time and project management skills
