This role offers a unique opportunity to act as a strategic thought partner, providing research-driven insights and structured guidance across business, personal, and long-term initiatives. The Research & Strategy Advisor will lead high-level projects in areas including family office strategy, portfolio construction, tax efficiency, and emerging business opportunities, while maintaining strong organization and clear communication. The position requires independent judgment, intellectual rigor, and the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations. This role also involves leveraging technology and AI to optimize research, frameworks, and decision-making processes. Ideal candidates are experienced, analytical, and capable of contributing to strategic planning across multiple domains, while collaborating closely with senior stakeholders.
Accountabilities:
Provide strategic advice on generational wealth planning, estate and trust structuring, and tax optimization
Conduct research on portfolio construction, after-tax returns, and investment opportunities across diversified assets
Analyze potential new business lines, strategic pivots, and entrepreneurial initiatives for family interests
Study behavioral finance, investor psychology, and competitive landscape trends within the financial sector
Organize, catalog, and synthesize research insights using technology and AI tools to support structured long-term planning
Support adult children with mentorship, financial guidance, and strategic planning initiatives
Monitor structural shifts in the hedge fund industry and evaluate competitor strategy and positioning
Requirements:
5–10 years of prior experience in consulting, family office advisory, or similar research-driven roles
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex financial, operational, and strategic data
Expertise in portfolio construction, investment analysis, and wealth planning strategies
High level of organization and self-sufficiency to manage multiple projects independently
Excellent communication skills, able to present structured insights to senior stakeholders
Proficiency in leveraging technology and AI tools for research, analysis, and information management
Ability to work remotely with periodic travel to headquarters (approximately 1x/week)
