Lalamove is seeking a strategic Research Manager to join our BI and Research team. This role focuses on analyzing global macroeconomic trends, competitive intelligence, and industry landscapes to inform our international expansion and long-term business strategy. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking analyst who can translate complex market dynamics into actionable insights for leadership decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Global Macro Research & Analysis
Monitor and analyze global macroeconomic indicators, regulatory changes, and geopolitical developments impacting logistics and on-demand delivery markets
Develop regional market assessments for current and potential expansion territoriesIdentify emerging global trends in technology, supply chain, and urban mobility
Create scenario planning models to assess potential market disruptions and opportunities
2. Competitive IntelligenceConduct comprehensive competitor analysis across all operating regions
Track competitive positioning, pricing strategies, service offerings, and market share movements
Analyze competitor financials, funding rounds, and strategic partnerships
Maintain competitive intelligence database with regular updates and alerts
3. Industry Landscape & Market Research
Research logistics, delivery, and transportation industry trends globally
Analyze market sizing, growth projections, and profitability models across regions
Study adjacent industries and disruptive technologies that may impact our business
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in any field;
5+ years experience in management consulting, equity research, corporate strategy, or market intelligence or any related field
Proven expertise in macroeconomic analysis and competitive intelligence
Strong experience in logistics, transportation, tech platforms, or related industries
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to executive leadership
Knowledge of global markets and emerging economies
