Your key responsibilities will be:
- Planning and executing research investigations as a project leader or team member to achieve clear and specific results,
- Organizing, proposing, and implementing testing plans for new product and process development; analyze results, draw conclusions, and make recommendations using sound statistical methods,
- Collaborating with plant personnel to plan and execute plant trials, ensuring compliance with Management of Change and process safety requirements,
- Preparing reports and presentations documenting work, results, and conclusions, present findings to management, technical teams, and business partners,
- Staying current with relevant patent literature and identify opportunities to capture new intellectual property,
- Adhering to all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SH&E) standards and strive for excellence in sustainability and environmental stewardship.
Requirements
- MS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 4–8 years of relevant experience, OR
- PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 2–4 years of relevant experience,
- Experience with activated carbon development, manufacturing, or applications is a plus,
- Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of chemistry, chemical manufacturing, and process/product development,
- Familiarity with experimental design and statistical analysis tools,
- Experience in project management and ability to work cross-functionally,
- Understanding of intellectual property and patent processes,
- Hands-on, pragmatic approach with a passion for laboratory work.
