Join our innovative R&D team to design and execute experiments, analyze data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new products, optimize processes, and explore new applications for activated carbon products. Your work will contribute to NORIT’s mission of purifying the world.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Planning and executing research investigations as a project leader or team member to achieve clear and specific results,
  • Organizing, proposing, and implementing testing plans for new product and process development; analyze results, draw conclusions, and make recommendations using sound statistical methods,
  • Collaborating with plant personnel to plan and execute plant trials, ensuring compliance with Management of Change and process safety requirements,
  • Preparing reports and presentations documenting work, results, and conclusions, present findings to management, technical teams, and business partners,
  • Staying current with relevant patent literature and identify opportunities to capture new intellectual property,
  • Adhering to all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SH&E) standards and strive for excellence in sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Requirements

  • MS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 4–8 years of relevant experience, OR
  • PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 2–4 years of relevant experience,
  • Experience with activated carbon development, manufacturing, or applications is a plus,
  • Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of chemistry, chemical manufacturing, and process/product development,
  • Familiarity with experimental design and statistical analysis tools,
  • Experience in project management and ability to work cross-functionally,
  • Understanding of intellectual property and patent processes,
  • Hands-on, pragmatic approach with a passion for laboratory work.
