
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Shift: T1 Monday to Saturday 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
T2 Monday to Saturday 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Summary/Objective: Responsible for setup, maintaining, testing, adjusting, and supporting manufacturing machinery and machinery processes, which could include dies and molds. Will provide preventative maintenance on any problematic manufacturing issues and process equipment if necessary, as well as troubleshoot on a wide spectrum of tooling and production equipment.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
- Coordinate assigned PM tasks with manufacturing to minimize machine downtime while maintaining a minimum of 90% OTD.
- Support Maintenance Supervisor or Engineering on projects related to equipment and/or equipment upgrades.
- Occasionally perform light machining and basic electrical controls repairs.

Utilize Solution Center Tools Level 1 to communicate manufacturing issues that cannot be resolved on the production floor.
- Assemble and debug new tooling.
- Troubleshoot and maintain current tooling.
- Order and maintain purchased tooling, replacement tools and additional capacity.

Required Experience:

3-5 Years’ Experience in a Technical or Manufacturing environment.
- Must have 20/40 correctable vision.

Experience as maintenance or equipment technician.
- Experience reading product blue prints.
- Electrical experience including, but not limited to, proximity sensors, servo motors, production cameras, programming and troubleshooting PLC’s is a plus.

Tool and Machine background including experience in basic machinist skills, general die mechanics and bench work, and soldering, is a plus.
- Familiar with MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work independently.
- Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes, and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.

Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.

Hazards and Atmospheric Conditions: Must be willing to adhere to department safety rules and regulations. May be exposed to noise (required to wear protective gear). May be exposed to Hazardous Materials & Chemicals (required to wear safety glasses and other protective gear).
- CPR/First Aid/AED training
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.

2-Year or 4-Year Electrical or Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering/Technical Degree is preferred.
- Tool & Die or Electrical Journeyman/Certification is a plus.
- Experience can be used to supplement or replace educational requirements.
