Renewals Specialist – Growth
About the Role
We are seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Renewals Specialist to join our team, focusing on securing and maximizing the retention of our valuable mid-market customers ($50M–$1B in revenue). You will be the crucial point-person responsible for the entire renewal process, ensuring continuity of service, mitigating churn risk, and maintaining high customer satisfaction as contracts approach expiration. Given the complexity of our end-to-end solution, your ability to articulate realized value and navigate commercial discussions will be key to meeting our ambitious retention goals.
What You’ll Do

Own the Renewal Lifecycle: Manage a dedicated portfolio of mid-market accounts, proactively initiating, negotiating, and closing all renewal opportunities to meet or exceed retention targets.

Mitigate Churn Risk: Systematically monitor account health, usage data, and customer feedback to identify at-risk accounts well in advance of the renewal date and collaborate with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to execute necessary intervention plans.

Drive Timely Execution: Ensure a seamless and efficient renewal process by accurately quoting, drafting contracts, handling price negotiations, and finalizing paperwork in accordance with company standards and deadlines.

Articulate Value: Partner closely with CSMs to ensure customers have a clear understanding of the value they have received from our solution throughout the contract term, justifying the investment and potential price adjustments.

Process Improvement: Utilize AI and modern sales/customer success tools to analyze renewal trends, forecast accurately, identify process bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to enhance renewal efficiency and predictability.

Internal Collaboration: Act as the commercial liaison between the customer, legal, finance, and the Customer Success team to resolve any blockers or complex contract issues related to the renewal.

Upsell Identification (Secondary): While the primary focus is retention, you will identify and flag any strong upsell or expansion opportunities to the appropriate Account Manager or Sales team member.
What We’re Looking For

Proven Renewals Experience: Demonstrated success in managing and closing a high-volume portfolio of SaaS or B2B tech contract renewals, preferably within the mid-market segment.

Quota Achievement: Ability to consistently deliver against challenging renewal and gross retention quotas, with a strong track record of minimizing churn and securing timely commitments.

Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation and commercial skills, capable of handling sensitive pricing discussions and complex contract terms while preserving the customer relationship.

Analytical and Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, necessary for accurate forecasting, meticulous contract management, and efficient portfolio prioritization.

Tech-Forward: Required: Demonstrated ability to quickly adopt and use AI tools to enhance client engagement, analyze contract trends, forecast accurately, and optimize the renewal strategy.

Communication Skills: Clear, confident, and consultative communication style, enabling effective engagement with customer procurement and executive stakeholders.

Industry experience in data, SaaS, or B2B technology is highly preferred.
