Renewals Specialist

The revenue team is looking for a Renewals Specialist to join our fast growing Corporate Sales Team. You are driven, curious, intelligent and deeply passionate about your craft. You will remove barriers to customer retention and collaborate with our Account Management Team to deliver a high value customer experience at time of renewal.

Responsibilities

  • You will own, drive, and lead the renewals process in collaboration with the account team to preserve and enhance customer contracts and relationships
  • You will actively engage with key decision-makers to identify customer requirements and uncover roadblocks to ensure on-time commitments
  • You will maintain and report an accurate rolling 90-day forecast of renewals in your territory
  • You will negotiate and execute renewal contracts (in partnership with legal) that align to customer goals
  • You will discover and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities upon contract renewal to maximize customer growth
  • Develop playbook for renewal engagement maximizing revenue retention

What you should have

  • 2+ years of Sales / Customer Success / Account Management experience preferably within an Enterprise SaaS organization
  • Understanding of Enterprise SaaS applications and collaboration technology
  • SalesForce experience
  • Ability to come into the Bellevue, WA office twice a week (Wednesday & Thursdays)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Git and GitHub workflows
  • Experience selling / managing a technical product to Engineering, IT, and Security teams
  • Consistent track record of achieving personal and team goals
  • Ability to grow business in a strategic manner, i.e. creating new processes and initiatives
  • Strong customer orientation, dedication, and passion for delivering a great customer experience
  • Ability to assess and understand customer needs
  • Problem solving around technical, product, and business questions
  • High energy and positive attitude
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative and team oriented
  • Willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful

Minimum hourly rate of $28.64/hour to maximum $53.17/hour.

These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.


Location: In this role, you will be working onsite in GitHub’s Bellevue, Washington office.
