Renewal Sales Opener – Remote (Costa Rica)

Why this Role Matters:

At Greenbox Capital, newly funded merchants are just beginning their journey - and you’ll be the first trusted guide they meet.

As a Renewal Sales Opener, you’ll take the lead in building strong early relationships with our merchants from day one, supporting them from initial funding through their first milestones. You’ll be the connection point that helps them understand what comes next, ensures they feel supported, and identifies when they’re ready for additional capital to grow their business.

In this role, you’ll manage a high-volume pipeline of funded merchants, follow a clear outreach cadence, and spot opportunities for Add-On financing when merchants have funds available. You’ll gather statements, prepare clean submissions for underwriting, document each step in HubSpot, and capture the details that Funding Advisors rely on to move deals forward. When a merchant is approved, you’ll set the stage with a warm handoff so the Funding Advisor can step in seamlessly.

If you enjoy fast-paced work, meaningful conversations with small business owners, and helping merchants get the capital they need to grow, this is a great place to make an impact.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Consistently complete all automated HubSpot tasks on time, ensuring clean, accurate workflow progression for every assigned merchant.
  • Achieve or surpass the monthly Add-On submission goals by identifying qualified opportunities and moving them through the process efficiently.
  • Meet or exceed the daily outreach expectations, maintaining the call volume and cadence required to drive strong merchant engagement.

What You’ll Do:

  • Engage newly funded merchants quickly and consistently by following the established outreach cadence and contacting each assigned merchant within the required time frame.
  • Build immediate rapport and trust with merchants through clear communication, active listening, and a professional, service-oriented approach.
  • Pre-qualify merchants for Add-On effectively by gathering essential business information, assessing fit against product criteria, and collecting all required documentation or submissions.
  • Accurately disposition and document every interaction in the CRM, ensuring clean, complete notes and all required details for Funding Advisors to pick up seamlessly.
  • Meet or exceed performance targets including outreach volume, conversion metrics, and other KPIs aligned to team goals.
  • Partner closely with Funding Advisors to ensure a smooth and timely handoff of qualified opportunities, maintaining open communication and alignment throughout the process.
  • Contribute to team projects and operational improvements that support the growth and efficiency of the department.
  • Deliver a high-quality customer experience by being attentive to merchants’ needs, answering questions proactively, and resolving concerns to maintain strong satisfaction and trust.

You’re a Strong Fit if You:

  • You’ve successfully managed a high-volume book of accounts, stayed organized under pressure, and followed structured cadences while keeping your work accurate and high-quality.
  • You’ve demonstrated resilience in sales environments — handling objections confidently, adjusting your approach on the fly, and staying focused on delivering a great merchant experience.
  • You work well with others and communicate clearly, partnering closely with cross-functional teammates to move deals forward and hit shared goals.

What You’ve Done Before:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in a high-volume or fast-paced environment where consistent outreach and lead management are core responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated success as a Sales Representative or similar role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding quota, KPIs, or conversion targets.
  • Experience in B2B telesales, financial services, or the lending industry with the ability to discuss financial products confidently and handle qualification conversations with small business owners.
  • Strong command of English, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate clearly, build rapport quickly, and articulate complex information in a simple, professional manner.

Tools and Expertise You’ll Bring:

  • Comfort using CRM systems and sales tools (Salesforce/HubSpot) to manage pipelines, log activities, and maintain accurate, detailed records.
