Security Specialist


Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and implement security change requests to maintain compliance and system integrity.
  • Monitor and maintain audit logging for all M365 and related platforms.
  • Oversee Microsoft Purview configurations for data governance and compliance.
  • Administer and optimize Microsoft Defender security settings and threat protection.
  • Ensure AOS (AvePoint Online Services) interface security, including access controls and data protection measures.

 

Personnel Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting Microsoft 365 (M365) Cloud Suite in a large corporate or government environment.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate/Flow).
  • Strong .NET development skills, including:
    • C#
    • Net MVC
    • Entity Framework
    • JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Proficiency in creating PowerShell scripts.
  • Knowledge of Exchange, Intune, Azure AD, and the Azure ecosystem.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 development and SharePoint Administration.
  • Ability to develop PowerApps models and customize SharePoint lists and disparate systems using PowerApps.
  • Experience managing user permissions, data retention, and compliance settings.
  • Knowledge and experience with:
    • Copilot for Power Apps
    • Copilot for Power Automate
    • AI Builder
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the entire M365 cloud platform and AvePoint Online Services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technologies and technical business concepts to multiple audiences.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective business unit relationships.
