About The Client:

Our client is a leading provider of commercial flooring services in Connecticut. With a strong reputation for quality and reliability, they specialize in delivering exceptional flooring solutions to their clients. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator to join their team remotely.

Position Summary:

We are looking for an Estimator with strong experience in commercial interiors and finish work. While direct flooring experience is not required, candidates should have expertise in plan and spec reading, particularly in architectural plans, elevations, and details. Ideal candidates will have experience working with general contractors or in trades such as drywall, acoustical ceilings, paint, finish carpentry, framing, and wall and door protection.

This role involves supporting the estimating team by handling takeoffs, analyzing project plans, and ensuring all necessary details are captured. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in using estimating software such as Measure Square 8.

Responsibilities:

• Download and analyze project plans, specifications, and architectural details.
• Utilize Measure Square 8 software to digitize takeoffs, build rooms, and add doors, dividers, and material legends.
• Identify scopes of work by conducting thorough plan and spec reading, focusing on architectural plans, elevations, and details.
• Perform investigative analysis to ensure accurate project understanding and comprehensive cost estimates.
• Communicate effectively with team members to clarify project details and requirements.
• Work closely with the senior estimator and project team to ensure timely and accurate estimates.
• Maintain organized records of project-related documents and communications.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Estimator in commercial interiors, finish work, or construction.
• Strong knowledge of architectural plans, elevations, and details.
• Experience in trades such as drywall, acoustical ceilings, paint, finish carpentry, framing, and wall and door protection is a plus.
• Proficiency in Measure Square 8 or similar estimating software.
• Experience working for general contractors is highly preferred.
• Excellent analytical and investigative skills with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Payment: All payments for your services will be handled directly by the client. Elevate and Delegate is not involved in processing your payroll. Your salary will directly go to you.

You are expected to align your schedule with the client's business needs and any specific policies or preferences they may have in this regard.

Salary: $1000 - $1300 / month
