- Evaluatues electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
- Confirms systems and components capabilities necessary for safe hazmat handling and controls.
- Achieve detailed understanding of the Contract documents (drawings and spefications), phasing plans, engineering systems relationships, construction sequencing and project schedule.
- Facilitate problem solving, as may arise, between contractors and subcontractors during construction.
- Validate design issues related to the hazmat structure engineering and suggest alternative solutions.
- Assist in the receipt and review of engineering submittals.
- Log and post all engineering changes and as-built information on field drawings.
- Assist in the scope review, budgeting and justification of engineering proposal pricing and change work orders.
- Coordination and administration of engineering related materials, systems and shop drawing submittals.
- Mechanical or Electrical university degree in Engineering. Chemical minor and/or influence in degree a plus.
- Working knowldege of plans, prints, specifications and schematics associated with trade.
- 5 years of construction experience with working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing construction procedures and practices.
- Computer literate - master of Cad software a plus.
- Possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Understanding of International Building Codes (IBC), NFPA 30, USEPA, and OSHA a plus.
