To name a few, these projects may include: - Optimizing the operations and performance of groundwater pump-and-treat remediation systems.  - Designing and implementing in-situ and ex-situ remediation technologies and performance monitoring programs. - Leading field activities for Pre-Design Investigations to advance remediation programs at complex remediation sites. - Evaluating treatability test and field pilot study results to support teams in selecting, designing, and constructing full-scale remediation activities.  Offering Flexible Hybrid Work Schedule: 2 - 3 Days from office  Available Office Locations: Canton, MA // Providence, RI // Andover, MA  Travel: up to 25% average to local clients and office Who are we looking for?  Woodard & Curran has an opportunity for a mid-level project engineer who can support and manage a diverse range of challenging and engaging remediation projects. The selected candidate will be a key contributor to an integrated and multi-disciplinary team that provides high-quality remediation and consulting services to our industrial, commercial, and municipal clients. The selected candidate will report directly to Project Managers in our national Environmental Remediation Practice and work directly with a diverse and talented group of engineers and scientists. The ideal candidate is a mid-level engineer with strong technical experience delivering high-quality remediation and consulting services to projects located across the firm’s geography and core markets. The successful candidate will be an energetic, motivated, growth-oriented professional who can work independently and lead multi-disciplined project teams.  What will you be doing at Woodard & Curran?
  • Conducting feasibility studies 
  • Preparing detailed design plans and specifications 
  • Evaluating remediation construction bids 
  • Estimating costs and managing the scope, schedule, and budget for various project tasks 
  • Designing in-situ and ex-situ soil and groundwater remedies 
  • Preparing technical reports in compliance with applicable environmental regulations 
  • Selecting, coordinating, and managing subcontractors 
  • Evaluating and mitigating vapor intrusion sites 
  • Managing remedial construction 
  • Managing and evaluating environmental data 
  • Remediating and/or redeveloping Brownfields sites 
  • Collaborating with project staff, clients, and regulatory agencies 
  • What will you need to succeed?
  • 5 -12 years of professional experience with an environmental/engineering consulting firm.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program.  
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-In-Training (EIT) is strongly preferred. 
  • Technical experience with the lifecycle of remedial treatment systems and technologies.  
  • Remedial project management experience (scope, schedule, budget, staffing).  
  • Experience with management of remediation contractors.  
  • Strong communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.  
  • Experience conducting field investigations and phased reporting under the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) is desirable.
